Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, you should definitely consult doctor and diagnose yourself.
You are having hemoptysis (blood in sputum).
Common causes for hemoptysis are tuberculosis, pneumonia, bronchiectesis, bronchitis and lung cancer.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system.
2. Chest x ray to rule out pneumonia and tuberculosis.
3. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out bronchitis.
If you are smoker than you should immediately quit smoking.
Treatment of hemoptysis is based on etiology.
So better to first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
