What Causes Coughing, Sweating, Tiredness And Joint Aches With History Of Pneumonia?

Hello I am a 54 year old female and have traveled to NJ and Florida in the past few weeks. I have a bad cough with mucus. Not sure if I have a fever, but have been sweating. I also am achy in my joints and feel weak and very tired. I have had pnemonia 3 times in the past several years and don t want to go that route again! How do I tell if I have flu symtoms or getting pnemonia again? Thank you for your time...

It doesn't seem to be pneumonia this time. In shifting it happens to many people, they get a chest infection due to weather change, dust from home stuff and animal dander etc.

If I was your treating physician I would have prescribed you Azithromycin antibiotic class of drug if not allergic to and of course a follow-up after a week. Plus Claritin, Plus Ibuprofen and an over the counter cough suppressant syrup. Its all needed along with steam inhalation through a humidifier.
