Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Why do I caugh after I eat. I get sick to my stomach too. It can be anything I eat. I am a 22 year old male about 5 foot 8 inches & 150 lbs. I have never had any health related issues. It happens a lot and mainly every time I eat. Very rarely does it not bother me.
If a patient with complaints like you and with no other health issue comes to me, I would not assign a psychological cause to it but would like to know if there is any medical condition. Therefore, I would ask him/her to consult an ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) specialist. This is because there may be some issue with your swallowing mechanism which an ENT specialist is best suited to examine, investigate and solve. Hope this answer helps you.
