What Causes Cough With Blood In Sputum?

Hi doctor my age 28 yrs ,male, please let me know what is caused, i am observed that blood is coming while spitting in the morning time only even i have cough and cold last one week but its never happend before like..pls suggest can go to doctor for checkup???

i can understand your concern.
please let me know if u smoke. if yes for how long and how many cigarrettes in a day.
blood in sputum during cough can be a dangerous sign which needs proper evaluation.
since you are having cough and cold since one week the blood can also be due to abrasions in the throat due to violent cough or sneeze. none the less this cannot be taken lightly.
a chest xray P/A view is advised for you to know about any infections or any other causes like carcinoma. if it isnt conclusive a high resolution ct scan of chest is advised.
along with this a complete blood picture and sputum for AFB stain is also advised.
please get back to us with the reports for further manangement.
in the mean while do salt water gargles with luke warm water.
an antihistamine like cetrizine is advised.
do revert back for further queries.
