What Causes Cough And Low Grade Fever?

I live in a 3rd world country, and I am not impressed with the options of doctors in my small town. I think I have bronchitis, but I am not sure. I have been sick for 3 weeks with a cough and a low grade fever. I feel sick from my throat down into my lungs. When I cough I can feel that there is something in my throat, but my cough is dry, without any phelem. Again I don't trust the doctors here because of the way I have seen them handle other people's illnesses. Is there anything I can do to determine on my own if I have bronchitis or something else?

I can understand your situation and problem.
By your history and description, possibility of bronchitis is more.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination, chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
Chest x ray is needed to rule out other lung causes.
PFT is needed for the diagnosis of bronchitis.
It will also tell you about severity of the disease.
And treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only.
You need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
Don't worry, with appropriate treatment, you will definitely improve.
