What Causes Convulsion?

sometimes, when i get up, after sitting down and relaxing for a long period, i get dizzy, everything goes black, and i can't hear anything. I have to hold on to something to make sure i don't fall. This is the light version, sometimes i start to convulse(i think it's a convulsion, might be just tremors), and have to sit down on the floor, to make sure i don't fall. I never lose conciousness, i am aware of my surroundings, but i can't controll the tremors usually strong when they happen. Could someone give me an idea why this happens? It happens at least once a year, mostly summer-time but today was the worst one.

Hi, thank you for asking healthcare magic
I understand your concerns

With this presentation, I think it is a condition called syncope. It occurs when blood supply to brain reduces abruptly especially after rising from a sitting or lying position.

There are a good number of situations that can cause this. They include cardiovascular (related to heart and blood vessels), neural and even emotional disorders.

You need to see a doctor who may ask you some few questions, take your blood pressure when lying and standing, examine your heart for irregular beats and may be ask you to do an ECG. This will help to give the exact cause of it and management would depend on the cause.

I hope I have answered your query
I wish you well
