What Causes Contracting Kind Of Pain In Heart And Breathing Problems?

Hi, I hope you are well. I just wanted to inquire about something. For about a couple of years, I've been having pains in my heart.. I seems like it contracts all of a sudden and I have trouble breathing for a minute or so. I have to take very quick and rapid breaths because if I take a normal breath, something feels like it's about to explode.. Should I get it checked out?

Thanks for contacting HCM. Dear patient you have not mentioned your age, height and weight. You have also not mentioned whether you have any other associated illnesses like hypertension and diabetes. Your symptoms are suggestive of heart pain. I would suggest following investigations- BP checkup, Fasting and post meal blood glucose, urine examination, an E.C.G., cardiac colour doppler and an TMT test. These should help evaluate and make a decision about treatment and future course of action. Regards
