What Causes Continuous Joint And Muscle Pain?

Hi im from philippines, my father is already 69 yrs old and suffering joint and muscle pain every single day. I dont know what to do about it. We tried some medicine like planax, eskelan etc. the pain goes away but will get back a few hours after. Please help me. Thank you

Continuous joint and muscle pains are one of the common problems with old age. This can be due to various reasons depending on which joint is involved. If shoulder/ knee/ hip joints are involved it can be due to osteoarthritis which is due to wear and tear of joints. If smaller joints such as fingers and wrist joints are involved it maybe due to underlying immune disorder like rheumatic arthritis. Your father's symptom can also be due to prolonged immobility or reduced physical activities.
I would suggest you to take your father to your family doctor for further evaluation and physiotherapy/exercises.
