What Causes Continuous Burping?
My dad has congestive heart failure. 78 years old I observe that he has a burping problem. Several times one after another. I remember my grandmother had this Also. Why does this happen? He had a couple of glasses if wine. Is that part of the problem?

Burping can be caused by stomach issues such as gastritis or indigestion.
It is know that people who suffer from Heart failure have indigestion,gastritis up to digestive tract ulcers and this because in this condition heart has difficulty to pomp the blood and all organs may suffer the inadequate blood supply.
This can cause indigestion and ulcer forming in digestive tract.
The indigestion is the cause of burping and the wine has helped in worsening the condition.
He can use PPI drugs (inhibit the acid production in stomach) such as Omeprazole twice a day 30 min before meals or antiacids gel.
He should avoid alcoholic beverages,spicy foods.
