Hello, I can understand your concern for GI symptoms. Presence of constipation + mucus discharge is associated with anal fissure. This is a condition in which linear tear develop on inner wall of lower part of anal canal from which mucus and sometimes bleeding develop. Treatment of constipation with stool softener or laxative is core part of treatment for anal fissure. You might also require local anesthetic ointment medication to reduce pain, anti-inflammatory medication to reduce inflammation associated swelling.
Hope I answered your question. If you have any further questions, I would be happy to help you. Have a good day!
