What Causes Constant Tiredness And Drowsiness?

My son, who is age 13, has been extremely tired after school. He sleeps for several hours when he gets home. Wakes up irritable. For the past few weeks, we have been exercising at Planet Fitness. He has been focused on improving his health. I am concerned about his fatigue. He seems to sleep great at night.

Lots of condition leads to fatigue e.g. Overwork, Unbalanced diet, Deficiency of Vitamins, Anemia, hypothyroidism etc which may lead to lethargy and sleepyness. ...so its hard to say without proper workup...which your son need. May be its just physiological by his age because of over exercise or over work. Whatever it is, your son need some diagnostic tests to exclude any pathology. So contact to your health care provider if it apears to be disturbing your son's day to day activity.
