What Causes Constant Tiredness And Dilation Of Eyes?

Son is 3 1/2. He says he s tired 30+ times a day. His blood has been checked and hemoglobin is fine, so they say there is no need to test iron. He is lethargic, and at times pale with dark circles under eyes. I am anemic so I assumed this was a possible problem for him too. I was told to feed him more veggies, but this seems more complex than that. I also noticed recently that his eyes are dilated all the time. I ve done my research and know this is normal in young children, however even in bright light, his barely constrict, and then flicker in and out. Does the eyes have anything to do with tiredness, or are they both separate problems? He is too young to be so tired. Every doctor I see tells me all tests say he is normal, but his daily actions say different. I just want to figure out why my son is so tired and help him out. Thank you!

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to Hcm,
I understand your concern and appreciate that you did what is just needed to evaluate his concern. Good thing is hemoglobin is normal. I feel you need to focus more on his diet. Give him regular fruits and plenty of liquids. You can try giving multivitamin syrup once a day. If hemoglobin is borderline normal, it's worth starting iron syp also. If he gets excessively tired after regular activity then h needs a complete evaluation including echo of heart to check if heart is normal. Hope I answered your query and happy to help.
Take care.
