What Causes Constant Numbness In The Left Upper Arm?
my boyfriend has a permanent left shoulder injury to a nerve that was severed and has constant numbness in the left upper arm. He is currently having pain in his left chest which happens once in a while where the muscle feels tight. Is there any chance of the heart causing this tightness and pain in the chest or is it because of the chest muscles compensating for the arm?
Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that you have numbness in upper arm due to a nerve injury you got. You are having pain left chest with tight muscle for a while. It occurs only when muscle became tight. It may be muscular pain but as it is left sided tightness chest and pain you should always exclude heart pain by investigation such as ECG and echocardiography. You can discuss with your Doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to help you. Wishing you a good health. Take care.
