What Causes Constant Diarrhea With Shortness Of Breath In A Diabetic?

My husband has type 2 diabetes. Last night he started getting sick, his symptoms were constant diarrhea, complaining of being too hot, shortness of breath-couldn t breathe, dizzy, blurred vision and when we finally checked his blood glucose it was reading 218, we checked again 2 hours later it was 184 and then the third time we checked it was 164. He says he is feeling better now. What was wrong with him? My email address is : YYYY@YYYY

Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I am Dr Rakesh Sharma answering your query.
I can understand your concern.
This usually occurs in hypoglycemia, but if your husband's blood sugar was not.
Get an EKG done to rule out any cardiac ailment.
Also his anti diabetic drugs and / or doses need to be readjusted.
Hope this suggestion helps.
Good luck.
