What Causes Constant Abdominal Pain And Fever In A Child?
My 8 yo son has complained of stomach ache for 5 days. He describes it as growling (he hasn t had much of an appetite), hurts to move around, not wanting to sit up, and just hurts very badly and even when I touch his stomach. Tuesday night he vomited approximately 5 times throughout the night, 99.8 temp that night. He had a bowel movement an hour ago and he said it was brown and split apart. The last time he vomited was Wednesday.

If he is having severe abdominal pain, he needs to be seen to rule out a surgical cause for the pain eg appendicitis.
This would cause abdominal pain, tenderness (pain on toughing the abdomen), vomiting.
His doctor, via his history and examination , would be able to determine the cause of his distress and treat him appropriately
