What Causes Cold Sores On Outside Of Mouth, Headache And Stiff Neck?
I ve had headaches, stiff neck, and a recent Cold sore on the outside of my mouth. I also have a pain and throbbing on the inside of my upper gums and swollen lymph nodes. My cold sore has a tingling itchy feeling that seems to be reaching up to the side of my right nostril, and my knee had some weird tingling the other night. Are these just random symptoms or are the connected?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have cold sores on outside of mouth, headache and stiff neck. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably due to viral infection like herpes simplex . Usually such infection go away by its own in few days and till then you can take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain along with anti pyrectic . Also apply warm compresses to neck abd do warm saline or betadine rinses . If condition doesn't get well then consult general practitioner for proper examination. Doctor may order blood test along with taking history . Doctor may prescribe antiviral like acyclovir along with anti inflammatory and medicine to relieve the other symptoms . Doctor may also refer you to oral pathologist for oral infection or orthopedic surgeon for muscle and bone problem .
