What Causes Cold And Congestion Along Headache?

A couple of days ago, I kinda got a little cold (at least that s what I think it is). But I haven t suffered from a fever or anything like that. But definitely a lot of congestion. But what I did notice today is that, I got a headache, and it gradually got worse as the day went on. I don t wanna be a hypochondriac about it, but no lie, it scared me. I just recently (in March) lost a friend due to an aneurysm. I guess my question is, when should I be worried enough to go see a doctor? Because before these cold like symptoms occurred, I was suffering from sharp pains in my head, either on one side or the other. Not constant, but periodically, like once or twice every other day. Please help...

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.
This could be due to sinusitis.
I recommend the following.
1) A void smoking.
2) A course of antibiotics.
3) Analgesic like tablet paracetamol for pain relief.
4) Oral decongestant like tablet levocetrizine with phenylephrine.
5) Steam inhalation improves sinus
drainage and promotes sinus ventilation.
6)If foes not come down consult your GP.
You will be fine.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help.
Wish you a good health and speedy recovery.
