I'm an 18 year old female who gave blood for the 4th time in 2 years at my school. The third time I did it, I passed out because I didn't eat anything before I donated. This last time there were complications. I found out first year students were sticking me with a needle after they tore up my vein. Apparently I wasn't bleeding fast enough and I guessed it was because I was cold or they might have missed the vein. I had never had problems before this. My blood clotted this time in the bag and I was told I couldn't give. Now I have a softball sized bruise and a golfball sized mass under my skin near the puncture site. I'm concerned about what it is. I've been told it could b a clott that will dissolve and I've also been told it could he an air bubble. It only hurts if a lot of pressure is put on it but the bruising and such makes me look like I shoot up and I scoop ice cream for a living currently and that scares customers. Please tell me what this mass is. I've had it for a little over a week since the donation
