What Causes Closed Eyelid In A Diabetic?

My father is 54 yrs old ,due to diabetics his left eye lid has got closed .it is painful and he cannot open it ...doctor say its weakness of nerve ....all mri scan all r normal ...he is on insulin and tablet ...how long it will it take to open his eye lid ......wht to do? plz help ..he is height is 5 4 ....

i am very sorry for your fathers condition
This condition is called as Cranial mononeuropathy III
This is an associated condition of Diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
The good news is in most of patients its reversible with good diabetes control.
Take vitamin B12 for quick recover
it may take 6 months in most of the cases
