What Causes Chronic Lower Abdominal Pain?

Hello Doctor I am 46 years old.my height is 5.3 weight 87.5 Kg. I suffer severe lower abdomen pain for the past 6 months especially in the pelvic region. while I suffer the pain I feel if I could pass stools or gas i would be relieved. I try and I can, my pain will not get relief. I took mephtal spas tablets when ever I suffer pain. now I have been suggested to take parit D in empty stomach in the morning and parit 20mg in the evening for 15 days. will it solve my problem?

I really appreciate your concern, colicky abdominal pain may be likely, you have not mentioned your gender, else something more specific could have been thoughts accordingly if the medicine does not subsides the pain then it need to be investigated because such pain can not be treated symptomatically, hope this information helps, take care have a nice day.
