What Causes Chronic Fatigue In An Obese Person?

Hello. My name is Steve. I am a working, white male. I run a home remodeling/construction company, am a non-smoker, overweight at 285 lbs, 6 2 tall. In the late afternoon usually between 2 & 4 pm, I fade out. Have no energy, I feel miserable. What can I do?

1. newer study has suggested a direct link between obesity and chronic fatigue syndrome [CFS] since both are affect of an inactive lifestyle: as it diminishes the biomedical makeup of the body, altering gene expression which ultimately leads to chronic disease. [like heart disease, high blood pressure]

PS. besides chronic fatigue, obese people tend to suffer from sleep apnea and other sleep disturbing disorders, back problems are another major problems.

2. Other common causes which are associated with overweight and fatigue are hypothyroidism, type II diabetes, high cholesterol, vitamin B12 deficiency. [for exhaustive list kindly consult your healthcare provider]

3. Consult an Endocrinologist for any hormonal problem and if everything is normal, make an appointment with a Dietitian for a comprehensive diet chart.
