Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had diahrea and vomiting since 6:45a.m. It is now almost 2:30p.m. I have usually under control diverticulitis, acid reflux, miscellaneous gastro problems. The diahrea is to the stage where I am vomiting and defecating simultaneously. I guess my question is: Should I wait a while more before going to the ER?
Need not to worry. You should take plenty of fluids to re-hydrate. Take diet rich in multivitamins and avoid any oily sharp and fast food. Take diet rich in fibres as well. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe you medications such as proton pump inhibitors along with antacids such as ornidazole , albendazole , omeprazole along with loperamide . For now eat light and non spicy , eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana .
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
