I had a chest X-rays 2weeks ago it said I have mildly hypereraerated but they are clear the heart and aoata are normal size not see any pleural fluid bony thorax is intact no active disease. I am a smoker. Prior to this 5 months ago I had the flu and developed a cough for 3 months. I don t understand what all this means. Hi welcome to the health care magic

You are having habit of smoking

Smoking can lead respiratory tissue and epithelium damage by release of elastase...

Hence try to avoid smoking

If you have no symptoms just now then no need for further work up for hyperaerated lung

If hyperinflation seen and if you are Symptomatic then pulmonary function test needs to be done

Take care

Hope your concern solved
