hello sir/mam,I can understand your pain.really it’s so debilitating.your symptoms suggest an inflammation of pleura(covering membranes of lungs).it is called pleurisy.it causes severe pain while coughing, deep breathing too.it occurs in the following:
1)tuberculosis
2)pleurodynia caused by coxasackie b virus
3)any trauma to chest causing rib fracture
4)pneumonia
5)fungal infection

an accurate diagnosis can be made only with some investigations like a chest x-ray,blood tests.treatment always depends upon the cause of pain.analgesics like NSAIDs(ibuprofen) would temporarily relieve the pain but won’t heal the underlying pathology.some times, extra fluid accumulates in pleura and pain disappears only to cause other more complications like infection(empyema) and lung collapse.so,the importance of examination by a physician in person can’t be overlooked in such cases.hope you understand my point.any other queries, please do not hesitate to write to us.i’l be prompt in assisting you.thank you.take care.bye.
