What Causes Chronic Cough And Fever With Rapid Weight Loss?

i ve had flu like systems for over 2 months now. I ve went to the doctors and was put on antibiotics and steroids for 10 days. I have went from 185 pounds to 160 in a matter of days. I have been coughing for 2months now. gagging,diarrhea, fever on and off. my skin itches and when I scrath it, it itches worse. This has been going on for over 6 months. Right now i m running fever, coughing non stop. My joints hurt and my feet are num between my toes and up my lower leg. could this be my hep c causing this? what can i do or tell the doctors to get trement?

long standing cough with fever and weight loss is suggestive of tuberculosis cancer or HIV infection
I see such patients in my clinic and after clinical examination i advise them to get blood test for hemoglobin ESR CBC liver enzymes ELISA for HIV test and an X ray Chest

you may require a course of antibioticsunder supervision of your doctor
steam inhalation and warm.saline gargles will definitely help you
