What Causes Chills, Nausea, Fatigue And Hot Flashes Post Menopause?

I am 43 was told I m in full blown menopause last year . I have a history of a cardiac arrhythmia that was corrected with oblation. My current symptoms are severe hot flashes, multiple times per day. Today I thought I was going to pass out at work. After it passed I was chilled, nautilus and extremely fatigued. My question is , is this really a hot flash or could it be something else.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I appreciate your concern
Since you already having cardiac arrhythmia so it's better to rule out heart disease first
I.would like further information to help you better
Are you having chest pain or palpitations
Is it associated with shortness of breath

In my opinion you should consult a cardiologist for clinical examination, recording of blood pressure and battery of tests like blood and urine tests and an EKG

Hot flashes are very common after menopause so there are more probability for hormonal deficiency due to menopause
you may require a hormonal replacement therapy if it is a recurrent problem

You should take multivitamin and calcium supplements
you can do yoga and relaxation exercises
exercise regularly
Avoid smoking and alcohol

Hope this answers your question
follow up questions are most welcome
Best wishes
