What Causes Chills, Fever, Vomiting And Dizziness?

Visited Africa. Returning went into hospital with chills, fever, vomiting. Was released with no conclusive answer as to what it was. Then 3 weeks later began to have dizzy spells, fever come and going. Had ECG that came back abnormal. Found out needed heart pace maker. Got pace maker 2 weeks ago and still lethargic. Can lack of finding out original problem be linked to Africa and getting bug or tick bite...similar to Lymes disease?

Hi. Hope you had given your consulting doctor the deatils and history of your visit to Africa. A peripheral blood smear test at the peak of your fever will be very helpful in diagnosing any parasitic infection like malaria, trypanosomia, etc which are endemic in Africa. Maybe after that test we will have a clearer picture.
I find this answer helpful
