What Causes Chickenpox Marks To Change Into Keloids And How To Lighten Them?
I have keloids for the last 6-7 years Initially I just had two big ones, but slowly over the period of time many of my chicken pox marks have converted into small small keloids. For the last one year I was under naturopathy treatment, which reduced the size of few kwloids and few of them have even vanished. The rest of the keloids are dark in color. an their color get lighter?
Chicken pox usually resolves with atrophic scarring. However, rarely it may resolve with keloidal scarring.
Keloids, in genera,l are best managed with intralesional steroids.
The best way to approach is seek an appointment with a dermatologist. Your treating dermatologist would administer intralesional steroids e.g triamcinolone acetonide 40mg/ml injections for keloids.
The injections may be repeated every 3 weeks
Usually the keloids flatten with just 2 or 3 injections.
