Hello,

This is Dr. Viraj Shah, Master of Public Health answering your query after understanding your concern. Alcohol is known to irritate the mucosa of stomach and esophagus causing symptoms of GERD or Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease.

This is a disease where due to damage to the mucosa and esophageal valve, the acid of the stomach regurgitates in the mouth causing the symptoms if chest tightness and acidity you are suffering from.

Thus, I would advise you to stop alcohol consumption or moderate the amount of drinking. In addition, you can take antacid such as Ranitidine Hydrochloride. If the severity increases, you should consult a physician or gastroenterologist for clinical examination and further investigations.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
