What Causes Chest Tightness And Difficulty In Breathing?

i am 46 yo, with 3 kids, 3 weeks ago, i frequently had tight chest and difficulty breathing. a went to a pulmonologist and diagnosed with possible asthma but when i undergo pulmonary function test it says normal... while my symptoms are asthma, what other disease might be have the same symptoms as asthma? please help... i am worried about my health

I can understand your concern.
Other diseases which behave like asthma are allergic bronchitis, BOOP (Bronchiolitis Obliterans Organising Pneumonia) etc.
Pulmonary embolism can also behaves like asthma, but this is less common.
So better to get done chest x ray and CT thorax to rule out these diseases.
Consult your pulmonologist and discuss about these asthma like conditions.
