What Causes Chest Pain?

My girlfriend who is 25 was experiencing chest pains about a month ago. When she went to the doctor they did a CT scan which found a mass in her chest. They sent her to a surgeon who did a medianoscopy. Her lymph nodes were swollen but the biopsy came back negative for cancer, TB, and sarcoidosis. The only thing they were able to find was inactive fungal spores. We feel like we are back at square one here and looking for advice on what to do next. Her only symptoms so far have been chest pain. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Fungal spores on biopsy from mediastinal lymphnode is seen with histoplasmosis.
Histoplasmosis is fungal infection of mediastinal lymphnode.
It is chronic infection.
So treatment is also prolonged.
In my opinion, she should start amphotericin B and itraconazole for 3 months.
Oral corticosteroid (prednisone) is also beneficial.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your girlfriend. Thanks.
