What Causes Chest Pain With Rashes And Green Phlegm?
5y/o female c/o on & off left side chest pain That is not reproducible on palpatation. She also has red raised pustule rash (about 6 now) under left arm. Hx healthy 38wk full term vag Delvery. Minor heart murmer Vac up to date. On & off cold sx and productive thick green mucus Cough for 1mo without fever or fatigue. 2wk trip to the Phillipines 1.5 weeks ago.
I have gone through your question. The most likely reasons for the complaints of your daughter are musculoskeletal pain, lung or pleural infection or neurological pains. Don't worry as they can be easily managed once the diagnosis is established.
I would recommend you to visit a paediatrician for complete examination. A chest x Ray will be useful to check the lung condition. Many a times pneumonias and lung abscess can lead to such presentation and can be picked up on chest x Rays.
Antibiotics will be useful if a chest infection is found on evaluation. Else, give her symptomatic treatment such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain relief.
Hopefully this will be helpful. I would be happy to help you in any further questions.
