Hi

Antral gastritis and Oesophagitis can cause a lot of discomfort to the sufferer. Often people who have this condition are not aware of the symptoms that accompany it. There are also many kinds of gastritis that are treated with medications as well as acid suppressants to deal with the root cause. Most types of gastritis cause an inflammation of the entire gastric mucosa but antral gastritis affects only one region of the stomach. Oesophagitis can cause retro sternal burning pain and chest pain like symptoms

One of the most important antral gastritis remedies is to develop good eating habits. Consume foods that are light and avoid high fat foods like fried foods, butter, and fatty meats as they can delay the emptying of the stomach. Increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables like dates, eggplant, tomatoes, and green leafy vegetables

Lifestyle changes that may alleviate symptoms of Antral Gastritis and esophagitis include:
•     Stop smoking
•     Remain upright while eating and for a time (about 2-3 hours) afterwards
•     Take small bites and chew food slowly
•     Avoid eating within 3 hours of bedtime or laying down
•     Raise the head of the bed by 4 to 6 inches (put blocks or a foam wedge under the head of the bed; don't use pillows as this can put pressure on the abdomen)
•     Lose weight
•     Wear loose clothing
• Regular walking/exercise
•     Avoid aspirin or ibuprofen
