What Causes Chest Pain On Left Side?

Hi Doctor,
I am having severe chest pain on the left side just & exactly at the same point at the back. I also feel breathlessness & often feel exhausted after climbing steps...
I am 26 years old & my family history has heart problems.
Please suggest examinations i should go through.

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I have gone through your question. As you have chest pain associated

with breathlessness increasing/brought on by exertion, cardiac (heart)

cause has to be ruled out first . An ECG and 2d Echocardiography are the

first and the primary investigations you have to undergo. depending on

those test a TMT (treadmill test) or an Angiogram may be needed.
