What Causes Chest Pain During Intercourse?

I am a fifty-eight year old female in pretty good health and have been experiencing some discomfort in my chest during sex with my husband. It occurs during orgasm. I have always had a hard time achieving orgasm ( I think) as it seems to take a long time to get there and in recent years this situation has gotten worse. I feel quite stressed and anxious about it which probably makes it worse. Should I be concerned that the discomfort is heart related?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As per your history is concerned your problem is due to many pathological reasons so to check first:

a) Do a full blood count with differential.

b) Do check [ECG/ECHO/Angiography] to rule out entire heart pathology.

I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me.

Wishing you all the best for good reports!

Thanks,
Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
