What Causes Chest Pain And Tightness With Psoriatic Arthritis?
I ve been having chest pains for a couple of hours now. I am 30 and I ve had some issues with chest tightness due to psoriatic arthritis. I did start synthroids 50 mg today. My blood pressure is normal 126/76 Are there any signs I should look for about this pain to know if its not just the arthritis?
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. Psoriatic arthritis can cause lung complications like bronchitis and lung fibrosis. Both these cause chest tightness and chest pain. So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system, chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). Chest x ray is screening tool for lung fibrosis. PFT is must for the diagnosis of bronchitis. If both these are normal then no need to worry for major lung diseases. Take simple painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs. Apply warm water pad on affected areas. Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. Wish you good health. Thanks.
