My mother had a massive heart attack 3 years ago, and because of the severity of the damage and other complications she was not able to have surgery and was told that medication was the only way to help her now. For about a week and half now she has been getting pain in her chest and she tells us that it is heartburn. She is now admitted into the hospital, she is getting bad headaches and sweats. What do you think could be the problem and what could we do?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. In my opinion, we should rule out heart diseases in her case. She was already having heart disease in past and current symptoms like chest pain, sweating etc favour heart diseases more. So get done blood pressure monitoring, ecg, 2d echo and stress test (trade mill test). She may need Coronary angiography if required to confirm heart diseases. On the basis of these reports, she will need cardiac supportive drugs. Don't worry, she will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
