What Causes Chest Pain And Pressure With Breathlessness?

I have chest pain and feels like something is in my throat right above collar bone. It feels like someone is stepping on my chest and I do have cough and stuff comes up yellowish mucus I would say it relieves it for 2 seconds and then the tightness comes back and when i do physical activity or eat wintergreen mints it gets more tight and have little trouble breathing can breath but feels like breathing hard after running for a long time I have not had fever vomiting or anything like that. I also have pains around my heart that come and go and it also when that hurts it goes down my left side of rib cage to bottom of rib cage but not down my left arm I am only 23 I do smoke cigarettes and a vapor ecig about a half to whole pack a day but with vapor just around a few to half pack a day now

Hi welcome to HCM.
You seem to have smoking induced chronic bronchitis,which is responsible for the chest pain and sensation of throat struck with yellow sputum production.This can present with pain in the rib cage.I strongly recommend you to quit smoking as it can prevent going your disease process into obstructive pathology.Have a baseline EKG and a screening 2 dimensional echocardiography.Antibiotics like azithromycin and levofloxacin will help to cure chronic bronchitis.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
