Hi I'm 26yrs old and I weight 119 lb I started noticing for the past 3months every time I lay down on my side I start feeling a strong pain on my chest like if some one came and sock me hard on my chest. I had always sleept in my side and have never encounter to this type of problem. At times my hands also get numb while I sleep on my side. I try to eat pretty healthy and I exercise atleast 3 times a week. Please let me know your opinion thanks.
Severe pain and numbness without any other provocation and all these occuring in specific posture suggests the possibility of nerve compression. I will advise you to avoid this posture during your day to day activity and also while sleeping. I will also suggest you to consult neurologist to get appropriate medications and also proper exercise to get releived of this nerve compression.
