Hello,

I read your message and understood your medical issue.

Chest pain, jaw pain, and dizziness are typical symptoms of a heart pain or angina. It does not mean that the cath procedure will identify any blockage in the heart arteries. A spasm of coronary arteries may cause these symptoms.

Prinzmetal angina is a condition where the heart vessels go into spasm temporarily without the presence of a previous blockage. Also, there is microvascular angina which affects only the small arteries of the heart and the large coronary arteries may be normal. The cath procedure can not see the small vessels as they are too small for the catheter to pass through their lumen.

Causes may be uncontrolled hypertension, anemia, hyperthyroidism, stress or other heart conditions like atrial fibrillation that decreases the oxygen intake by the heart muscle.

It is important to identify if there exist any underlying disease like lupus, scleroderma, and other diseases that affect the blood vessels.

My advice is that your husband must see a cardiologist and do some further tests to identify the exact cause. EKG and blood tests must be done.

If you already have any medical reports send them to me. I will check them and give a more clear and detailed opinion.

Hope this is helpful for you.
