What Causes Chest Pain After Taking MDMA?

I took MDMA two days in a row last weekend at a rave. first day I was fine and the second day I took it i felt chest pain on my left side while I was dancing and jumping, I know it s not normal. But i don t know if that was a sign of a heart attack or just to much jumping? I take MDMA about every six months.

Thanks for yoquestion on HCM. MDMA is addictive substance also known as ecstacy and it is amphetamine derivative. Amphetamines are sympathomimetic drug and cause tachycardia, vasoconstriction and rise in blood pressure. So it is quite normal to have high blood pressure and tachycardia after ingestion of such drugs. These will increase load on your heart and cause pain. It is not heart attack but it is over sympathetic activity. Still I suggest you to get done atleast ecg for cardiac evaluation. And quit this habit.
