General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing. As a physician, I would like to tell you that there is nothing to worry about it, as it might be nothing. Usually, if you take a big gulp that too of cold water, it may cause streching of your oesophagus leading to symptoms you are describing.

I would also like to tell you that, if you continue to experience these symptoms, even after some days, you should go and see you doctor for further evaluation and checkup. Thanks for trusting and posting your query on this forum.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Abhijeet
