What Causes Chest Infection With Wheezing?

My 19 month has a chest infection. He has a expiratory wheeze, respiratory rate 29 per minute when resting and is off of his food and drinking. He is also got very red cheeks. His lips are nice and pink. The doctors have put him in antibotics and asked me to bring him back to be reviewed in 48 hours. Do you think I need to get him reviewed again tomorrow rather than in 48 hours

Hi
Welcome to healthcaremagic
Antibiotics take 48 hours minimum to work.So you should wait till tomorrow for fever to subside. But for chest congestion (expiratory wheez ) he needs nebulisation and daily monitoring. For that problem you can consult earlier
Happy to help you
Best regards
