What Causes Chest Congestion, cough And Loss Of Voice Due To Throat Infection?

Hello, for the past 4 years I have lost my voice in the fall and the spring and it always returns after about 7 days or so with no other symptoms. This year I lost my voice in the fall and then developed chest congestion and a cough. It is now spring and I had 3 days of a lost voice and was starting to get better and then about 4 days later I lost my voice again and now have chest congestion, a cough, am tired and today started with feeling achy all over my body. No fever. Any suggestions as to what I can do to make this go away? Do you think it may be an infection? Why does this happen now twice a year? Thank you for your help.

Your symptoms are suggestive of severe throat infection. For treatment you can take some antibiotic preferably azithromycin or cefadroxyl after an expert opinion along with levocetrizine or montair-Lc for congestion. You can take nimeson-p or akilos-p for body-ache. For cough you can take syrup bro-zedex or syrup cofdex every 8-12 hours. Do warm water gargles and take steam inhalation at-least 4-5 times daily to reduce the congestion of your throat.
