What Causes Change In Platelet Count?

my husband is 56 . all bood levels are normal except his platelet count it ranges from 137 to 122 since december 2010. All we notice is when he gets a brusis say his hand or arms he gets like a red rashy bruise. Otherwise he feels fine. Is this something we need to follow up with a hematologist?

Dear friend , normal platelet count is 150-400. Your husband's platelet count is little low. I advise you for peripheral blood film and repeat platelet count.
It will help us to find out any abnormal platelet and for further management.
