What Causes Callus Like Formation At The Bottom Of Right Foot?
My husband has a big callus or something on the bottom of his right foot under the little toe. It looks like it had been a blood blister, but it looks like it is layers. when he soaks it, it looks like the edges are lifting up and is separating from the rest. I have been trimming those areas off. But it looks like layers and layers, and a blood blister under it. It is causing a lot of pain.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have callus like formation at the bottom of right foot . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the symptoms are due calluses , which occur due to improper footwear , improper socks , walking barefoot , flat feet , bunions , athletic activities , high-arched feet and obesity . I would suggest you to consult podiatrist for proper examination . Doctor may examine physical examination or order x-ray for bony protuberance . Doctor may prescribe ascicylic acid ointment to resolve keratinization , recommend orthotics made of shock-absorbing materials , non medicated pads , pads containing salicylic acid, maintaining proper foot hygiene and soaking feet in warm water and filing the callus down with a pumice stone to smooth thickened skin .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
