What Causes Burning Sensation In Vagina During Pregnancy?
The outside of my vagina and the bottom of the lips are throbbing and burning. It stings when I go pee and is so sensitive to the touch when I wipe. It s been going on for a couple days now and all my symptoms are magnified by ten after I have intercourse. It hurts so bad to stand because it feels like its heavy and just got rubbed with sand paper. I m 20 years old and a month pregnant. I m going to the DR. Friday buy pain is so bad I m not sure if I can wait. Anything that can help ease the pain? Do you know what would be causing it? I ve never had this problem before and I m very scared it could be an STD. Please tell me what you think.
A urinary tract infection (UTI) or a sexually transmitted infection are indeed possibilities, however I feel a UTI is more likely. I would recommend a visit to your doctor as you will most certainly require antibiotic therapy and also for a urine analysis to confirm/rule out a UTI. In the meantime, have as much fluids as possiblr, cranberry juice if available and 1 tbsp baking soda in a glass of water at least 3 times a day. It is also pivotal for you to completely avoid sexual contact in all forms until at least 2 weeks after the last dose of your prescribed medication.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
