Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Your problem is curable. You just need time, patience and observance to treatment. The symptoms suggest gastritis or gastroesophageal reflux. The lower oesophageal sphincter opens to let food in to the stomach and contracts to prevent acid or food reflux. Chest burn occurs as a result of abnormality in sphincter functioning or weakness. The treatment of this condition is with anti-secretories like omeprazole, antacids like maalox or topaal if reflux disease, and a series of home measures.
I will advise you try the following:
-See your Doctor for an H pylori test.If positive, he you may start with H pylori eradication
-Take an anti-secretory or a proton pump inhibitor like omeprazole
-Take an antacid like maalox
-Eat smaller and more frequent meals
-Avoid irritating foods
-Avoid alcohol and smoking
-Avoid stress
-Avoid eating and lying immediately
-Avoid foods that aggravate symptoms
-Avoid pepper and much green spices
You may also see a Gastrologist if these measure do not help you feel better
Hope these will help
Best regards
