What Causes Burning Sensation In The Abdomen And Esophagus?

Hi, I get a burning sensation in my stomach area and esophagus after eating or drinking. If I have a cup of coffee I will usually start gagging but no vomiting. I have loss of appetite. Also, I have been under an immense amount of stress lately and don t know if that can contribute to anything. Please help!

Thanks for contacting healthcare magic.

You complain that you have burning sensation in stomach and esophagus. After eating you have problem of vomiting like fealing. This indicate gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Stressful condition may worsen gastroesophageal reflux disease.

For this gastroesophageal reflux disease you have to change your diet first.
Avoid sleeping immediately after meal.
Avoid smoking and alcohol.

You can take proton pump inhibitor like omeprazol for gastroesophageal reflux disease.
After taking this much care still symptoms are present than you can do edoscopy for further diagnosis.

Gastritis may cause burning sensation in stomach.
Gastric ulcer may ruled out.
Endoscopy may helpful for further diagnosis.

Wish You a good health.
Take care.
Thanks.
