What Causes Burning Sensation In Stomach After Taking Augmentin?
Hello,
My husband had developed little chest infection and cough due to cold about 10 12 days ago....
on referring to a doctor we were told to give him the below medicines
Acilog 150 mg -----------------------------twice a day
okacet------------------twice a day
diclowin plus--------twice a day
Half an hour after taking the above the below medicine was given.
Ampilox 500mg-----twice a day -----gave this for two days and then replaced this by to Augmention 625 duo
he is reporting burning sensation in stomach and feeling little uneasy ------he is 54 years old and also a diabetic.....
please advise....................thanks

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the chest infection is responding to the given treatment then better to continue it and finish the course of medicine, for the present complaint it could be drug induced gastritis.
For the gastritis I would suggest to have PPI (Proton pump inhibitor) and the best drug is Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day with Domperidone 20 mg once in day have some milk in diet try to avoid oil and fat in diet
